The final damages, Alan Trammell, 4-for-5, homer, 2 doubles, 5 RBI, 3 runs scored. Kirk Gibson, 2 homers, single, 5 RBI, 2 runs scored. When the dust finally cleared, the Tigers destroyed the defending AL West division champs by a final score of 12-3.
